Abstract

Such materials used for dentures do not meet either the aesthetic or functional requirements of modern dentistry. As you know, in ensuring the mucosal immunity of the oral cavity, the oral fluid (OR) (saliva), which contains a large amount of substances with antimicrobial action, is of great importance: lysozyme, lactoferrin, immunoglobulins, antimicrobial peptides and other active substances. The immunoglobulins contained in the gastric liquid (saliva), in particular sIgA, prevent the adhesion of microorganisms, lysozyme destroys the walls of bacteria, and lactoferrin deprives bacteria of iron.
